Harmony EMS Base
Harmony EMS base is located on Hwy 21S in downtown Harmony. The coverage area for Harmony goes East to the Davie County line, West to the Wilkes/Alexander County lines, North to the Yadkin County line, and south to Dunlap Gate Rd off Hwy 21S. This is one of the largest, but least populated districts of Iredell County EMS.
It houses 1 EMS, Advanced Life Support, crew 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Harmony Base has been in service since the beginning of Iredell County EMS. The location has changed in its history but it has been near the downtown area of Harmony since its inception. Due to it remote rural location Harmony base has become affectionately known as "Ice Station Zebra".
